Riassunto delle puntate precedenti: attraverso i ricordi dell’armatore J.B. Ismay, vediamo il primo ed ultimo viaggio del Titanic. Nello scorso episodio, a bordo comincia a dilagare il panico, l’orchestra suona l’ultimo brano e i marconisti lasciano la loro postazione, non potendo più fare nient’altro; non senza difficoltà…Note: la scena del panico intorno alla scialuppa di p. 38 è un misto di battute e stralci dai film Titanic. Latitudine 41 Nord (Gran Bretagna 1958, di R. Baker, con K. Moore); S.O.S. Titanic (Gran Bretagna 1979); e Atlantic (Gran Bretagna 1929, di E.A. Dupont). Le ultime 4 vignette di p. 38 sono prese da due scene di Titanic. Latitudine 41 Nord, come la prima e la terza vignetta di p. 39. Allo stesso film è ispirata la scena dei marconisti.

Summary of the previous episodes: through the ship-owner J.B. Ismay’s memories, we can see the first and last voyage of the Titanic. In the last episode, on the ship panic starts to spread, the orchestra play their last song and the wireless operators leave their place because they can’t do anything else; they’ll not do this easily…

Notes: the panic scene of the lifeboat in page 38 is a mixture of phrases and fragments from the films A Night to Remember (Great Britain 1958, by R. Baker, with K. Moore); S.O.S. Titanic (Great Britain 1979); and Atlantic (Great Britain 1929, by E.A. Dupont). The last four cartoons of page 38 are taken from two scenes of A Night to Remember, as the first and the third cartoon of page 39. By the same film is inspired the scene of the wireless operators.
